SEOUL, South Korea – K-content production studio MooAm announced on the 24th that it has unveiled its 2026 lineup, aiming to lead the rapidly changing content industry with its proprietary AI hybrid production capabilities.
MooAm revealed three major projects: "Genfluencer," currently filming for a targeted 2026 theatrical release; "Child of the Soil (Working Title)," a collaboration with Japanese partners; and "The Wrong Visitor," a feature-length adaptation of the CGV AI Film Festival Grand Prize winner, to be co-produced with a Taiwanese studio. Through this lineup, MooAm plans to officially open the era of "K-AI Cinema."
Leading the slate is "Genfluencer," scheduled for release in 2026. The project garnered significant attention early on by being selected for the Korea Creative Content Agency’s (KOCCA) "2025 AI Video Content Production Support" program. The film is a psychological thriller depicting the clash between singer-songwriter Lee Jin (played by Bae Yoon-kyung) and the generative AI idol Gina.
Notably, "Genfluencer" is a true "AI Hybrid Film," where over 50% of the entire production—ranging from AI characters and AI VFX to the film score (AI OST)—is generated using artificial intelligence. As the first feature film to fully utilize MooAm’s unique AI production workflow, it is drawing keen interest from the film industry.
Global collaborative projects are also accelerating. "Child of the Soil (Working Title)," co-produced with Japan, is a suspense drama exploring the complex psychology of a mother grieving the loss of her child.
The project recently finalized its Japanese casting and has entered full-scale pre-production. By blending delicate psychological storytelling with AI-based visual fantasy, the film aims to present a new mise-en-scène that transcends traditional cinematic grammar. It is scheduled to start filming (crank-in) in 2026.
Rounding out the lineup is "The Wrong Visitor," the Grand Prize winner of the CGV AI Film Festival. MooAm is currently in deep discussions with a Taiwanese production company to expand the original short into a full-length, Full-AI animation.
"This three-film lineup will serve as a crucial bridge for the global expansion of K-AI Cinema," said a MooAm spokesperson. "By combining AI-driven production efficiency with original storytelling, we intend to solidify our position as a dominant player in the future content market."
MooAm has consistently proven its capabilities on the global stage, earning consecutive invitations for its proprietary AI workflow, presenting at the ITU "AI for Good Global Summit," and winning accolades at the CGV AI Film Festival and Hollywood film festivals.
