Seoul, May 2025 — MooAm Production (CEO Harry Hyun) has been selected for the first round of the Korean government’s Innovation Premier 1000 Companies Program for 2025.
▶What is “Innovation Premier 1000”?
Jointly operated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and 12 other ministries, the program picks 509 high-growth SMEs and mid-caps with outstanding innovation potential. Selected firms receive tailored financial and non-financial support—preferential policy financing through 2026, the Innovation Premier certificate, extra R&D points, and promotional assistance. MooAm is one of 23 companies chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism (MCST).
▶Generative AI Changes the Production Paradigm
MooAm has pioneered an AI-driven workflow that slashes the cost of storyboards, shot lists, and pre-visualization—from millions of won to a fraction of that—without compromising quality. The breakthrough lets small studios create high-caliber AI content without blockbuster budgets.
“Generative AI is more than a cost-saver; it is a core tool that widens the canvas of creative expression,” said Harry Hyun, CEO of MooAm. “We will keep unveiling commercially viable films, documentaries and series that leverage AI from script to global distribution.”
▶Creativity & Technology Proven on the Global Stage
- CANNESERIES (France): Three consecutive showcased, showcasing original IPs such as “Nine Times Fired” and “Sticker.”
- AI Film Awards Venice & New York Shorts International Animation Festival: Selected for MooAm’s AI animation re-imagining Baek Seok’s poem “Me and Natasha and the White Donkey.”
- Big Ocean: Produced the world’s first deaf idol group’s concept video entirely with AI (April 2025).
- “Be My K Guide: Korea-Japan Couples Edition”: Simultaneous release on major Korean and Japanese OTT platforms.
▶Next Steps: Global IP & Investment Platform
Building on an MoU signed with SC Ventures (Singapore) in December 2024, MooAm will strengthen global IP acquisition and protection, and spearhead a K-Content Fund connecting creators and investors.
“Being named an Innovation Premier company validates MooAm’s AI expertise and global competitiveness,” Hyun added. “We will continue to share the appeal of Korean culture worldwide through ever more innovative K-Content.”
