“TokGPT, tell me how to increase followers” The psycho-thriller drama “Sticker”, in which the protagonist, who wants to become a social media influencer with 1 million followers, “hunts” to find his fans, will be introduced at the Cannes International Series Festival.
MooAm Production announced on the 16th that their new work 'Sticker (Director/Screenplay Hyun Hae-ri)' will participate in the Korean content section of the 7th Cannes International Series Festival (Cannes Series) to be held in Cannes, France in April. This is MooAm Production's second entry into the Cannes Festival following 2023.
'Sticker' is a thriller genre work that faces unpredictable results from the decisions made by 'Yeonji', an influencer with 100,000 followers, with the help of the artificial intelligence advisor 'TalkGPT (tentative title)', with the goal of reaching 1 million followers. This work critically deals with desire and voyeurism in modern society.
'Sticker', which was selected as a specialized planning and development support work for OTT platforms with the support of the Korea Communications Commission (KCA), secured investment intent from major investors at the international OTT festival linked to the Busan International Film Festival last October.
This work, which was selected for the Cannes Series linked broadcasting and OTT overseas distribution participation support hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Communications Commission (KCA) as a linked project, will be introduced at the 7th Cannes International Series Festival held in Cannes from April 7 to 9.
At this event, Muam plans to present ‘Sticker’s’ content IP and overseas expansion strategy to global OTT services, investors, and buyers.
Director Hyun Hae-ri said, “We have the opportunity to meet more global viewers by reconstructing ‘Sticker’ from a feature film into an OTT series,” and “This work is a thriller that explores how AI and GPT technologies can be double-edged swords for humanity, and addresses important issues of our time.” ‘Sticker,’ currently in the pre-production stage, is scheduled to start filming in the second half of this year.
Meanwhile, Muam Production, a creative team comprised of young directors and PDs with an average age of 28, has been operating an integrated system encompassing its own IP development, content production, and marketing since 2022. It is particularly active in the K-content sector (movies, web dramas), and its independent film 'DEATH BUSINESS', based on Luna Coin, is scheduled to be submitted to international film festivals and is aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of this year.
