Genfluencer, which successfully completed its official screening at the 'Cannes International Series Festival' in France last April as the first-ever AI hybrid feature film, held its first domestic screening in Busan.

MooAm (CEO and Director Harry Hyun), a leader in generative AI-based content production, announced that it has completed its first domestic screening at 'Canneseries X Busan,' a linked program of the 20th Busan Contents Market (BCM 2026) held at BEXCO, Busan. The event was graced by the attendance of Director Harry Hyun, who helmed the project, and lead actors Bae Yoon-kyung, Lee Sang-sook, and Park Ga-on.

'Canneseries X Busan' is a collaborative program between the global content platform 'Cannes International Series Festival' and BCM to premiere globally acclaimed works in Korea. This year's event featured the team of MooAm's Genfluencer, which drew worldwide attention by recording a sold-out premiere after being invited to the non-competitive 'Rendez-vous' section of the Cannes Festival. On the 10th, the first day of the event, the team completed a glamorous Pink Carpet schedule, drawing a passionate response from the crowd.

In addition to the Pink Carpet schedule on the 10th, MooAm held media interviews with major press outlets such as KBS, The Kookje Daily News, and The Munhwa Ilbo. On the morning of the 11th, the following day, they successfully wrapped up the official screening—unveiling the work in Korea for the first time—and a Guest Visit (GV) session at the BEXCO theater. During this session, the MooAm team engaged in in-depth communication with the audience regarding the coexistence possibilities of AI content production and human creators.

Director Harry Hyun, who successfully completed the first domestic screening in Busan following Cannes, France, shared his thoughts on the production and the use of AI, stating, "The directing process of perfectly controlling AI with text prompts was not easy." However, he added, "It became a new opportunity to realize a surreal mystery within a limited production budget."

Furthermore, reminiscing about attending Canneseries, he noted, "There was some concern prior to the screening as a veto sentiment against AI technology still lingers within the European cultural and arts scene. However, upon seeing the revealed work, local audiences and foreign media sent enthusiastic interest and questions." He concluded, "Through this, I became confident in the validity and global competitiveness of 'K-AI' content."

Premiering to domestic audiences, Genfluencer is an AI hybrid psychological suspense film that depicts the events that unfold when the protagonist 'Lee Jin,' who dreamed of becoming an idol but suffered a devastating accident, connects to the 'Genfluencer' system to reincarnate as the K-pop idol 'Gina.'

Meanwhile, having completed a successful first domestic screening and media schedule in Busan while drawing critical acclaim, MooAm's Genfluencer is scheduled for an official release in the second half of this year.
