The Korea-Japan romance reality show Be My K Guide: Korea-Japan Edition, produced by MooAm, is set to premiere today (January 24) at 12:00 PM on major OTT platforms in both countries.
The program is a collaboration between Lemino, the OTT platform operated by Japan’s largest telecom company NTT Docomo, and Korea’s leading platforms Watcha and Wavve. It follows four charming Japanese women and four Korean male guides as they embark on a special journey together.
According to the production team, the cast—who boast celebrity-level visuals—will explore Seoul’s trendiest hotspots, hidden culinary gems, and exclusive date courses known only to locals over the course of three nights and four days. Targeting the booming Japanese Hallyu market, the show is expected to highlight Korea’s appeal from the unique perspective of local guides.
"Beyond just a meeting between guides and travelers, can this evolve into a genuine cross-border romance?" The production team emphasized that this question will be the key point of interest throughout the program.
Meanwhile, the simultaneous release on major platforms in both Korea and Japan is being hailed as a meaningful step in strengthening cultural exchange between the two countries. Given the strong interest of Japanese audiences in K-content, the program is expected to serve as a new cultural bridge between Korea and Japan.
